Moving FAQs can save you time, stress, and confusion on move day. At DID Movers, we’ve gathered the most common questions our customers ask—so you can feel fully prepared for your next move.

Before the Move

You can get a quote by filling out the form on our website, calling us directly, or messaging us through Google. We offer quick virtual estimates or on-site visits depending on your needs. The more info you provide, the more accurate your quote.

Make sure boxes are packed, labeled, and ready to go. Unplug electronics, clear walkways, and set aside any personal essentials you’ll need access to. If we’re handling the packing, no worries — we’ve got it covered.

Yes, we require a small deposit to secure your moving date. This helps us reserve your spot and plan our schedule accordingly.

The “Window of Arrival” is a 1–2 hour timeframe when our crew is expected to arrive. This allows for any unexpected traffic or job delays while still keeping your move on track.

Absolutely. We offer full packing services, including boxes, wrapping, and labeling. You can choose full-home packing or just a few rooms.

We operate clean, well-maintained box trucks suitable for apartments, houses, and office moves. We’ll match the truck size based on your move details.

There are many factors that determine how long your move takes. The size of your home and the actual number of items to be moved are the main factors. High-rise buildings, stairs, elevators, apartments with long distances from unit to truck, extreme weather, long distance of travel, etc. are all “negative” factors that increase the time it takes to complete your move.

Things that could “positively” affect the length of your move could be making sure you are fully packed on move day, having furniture disassembled before move day, having items closer to the front door in your home, or having items ready in your garage. These are not necessary tasks for customers, but they do allow for faster moves.

Yes! If your plans change, just let us know. We’re flexible with rescheduling as long as we have at least 48 hours’ notice. We’ll do our best to accommodate last-minute changes too, depending on availability.

During the Move

Yes, we provide shrink wrap and moving blankets to protect your furniture at no extra charge.

We do have a standard material charge to cover the protection of your television and mattresses, that is added to the total cost. This is a-la-carte and based upon any non-reusable materials being used to protect these items – mattress bags and boxes for TV. You can purchase your own mattress bag and TV boxes at any retail store, and we will put it on for you.

Mattress bags and TV boxes are provided upon request 48 hours prior to your move date.

Yes. Our team is trained to safely disassemble and reassemble most standard furniture, including beds, dining tables, and sectionals.

We recommend removing heavy or breakable items. Light clothing can usually stay in the drawers, depending on the furniture type.

Yes, rain or shine — we’ve got you covered. Our team uses pads, shrink wrap, and floor runners to protect your items and home.

We’re fully insured. If something is damaged during the move, we’ll document it and work with you to make it right. Your peace of mind is our priority.

We accept major credit cards, Zelle, and cash. Payment is typically due upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed in advance.

After the Move

Yes, we do! At DID Movers, placing items in the correct rooms is included in every move. For customers who want additional help, we offer unpacking services as an add-on. This includes opening boxes, carefully unpacking items, and placing them where you want — whether it’s kitchenware in cabinets, clothes in closets, or décor on shelves. We also remove the empty boxes and packing paper afterward to leave your space neat and ready to enjoy.

If you notice any damage after the move, please contact us immediately. We take great care in handling your belongings, and if something slipped through, we want to make it right. Be ready to provide photos and a description, and we’ll guide you through our claims process.

Tipping is always appreciated but never required. If you feel the crew went above and beyond, a common guideline is $20–$40 per mover for a standard move, or more for larger or more complex jobs. You can tip in cash or add it to your final payment if you’d like.

We love hearing from our customers! You can leave a review on Google by searching “DID Movers Houston – Drop It Delivery” and clicking “Write a review.” You can also leave feedback through our website or by replying to your follow-up email. Your feedback helps us grow and serve others better!
